Non-Disclosure of Information
This agreement explains how Helpal users must protect confidential information shared through the platform. It applies to students, experts, and staff who access non-public request details, files, messages, or payment-related information.
1. What counts as confidential information
Confidential information includes non-public material shared through Helpal, including:
- assignment briefs, drafts, files, and deliverables
- student and expert personal information
- payment, pricing, and financial information
- messages, workflow notes, and private project details
- any information clearly marked or reasonably understood as confidential
2. Your confidentiality obligations
- use confidential information only for the Helpal service purpose for which it was shared
- do not disclose it to any third party without proper permission
- store and handle it with reasonable care and security
- avoid copying, reusing, publishing, or distributing it outside the platform workflow
3. Exceptions
The duty of confidentiality does not apply where the information:
- is already public without breach of this agreement
- was already lawfully known before disclosure
- is independently developed without use of the confidential information
- must be disclosed by law or valid legal process
4. Duration
These confidentiality duties continue for as long as the relationship with Helpal exists and survive afterwards where the information remains non-public.
5. Platform enforcement
Helpal may restrict access, suspend accounts, or take further action where confidential information is mishandled, disclosed improperly, or used outside legitimate platform work.
